This high-reactivity calcium oxide is specially formulated for advanced flue gas cleaning systems that simultaneously remove sulfur oxides (SO) and nitrogen oxides (NO) pollutants. In pilot-scale tests using highly reactive CaO sorbents, removal efficiencies of over 94% for SO and about 64% for NO were achieved, demonstrating its effectiveness in multi-pollutant control. The product is made from ultra-pure limestone to minimize any inert residue, ensuring maximum active material is available for gas reactions. Its performance helps power plants and industrial furnaces meet stringent combined emissions regulations with a single sorbent, simplifying operations and reducing costs.
